Read the blog stories, where I post about my work and processes, daily photowalks, behind-the-scenes, thoughts and processes, information, ideas and inspiration, experiments, island life, artist life, activities and see the making of the works and products.
For the past two years, my work has been on display at the Island Arts Gallery, 9 Ballow Road, Dunwich, North Stradbroke Island. Unfortunately the gallery is now closed. The Island Arts Gallery also featured the work of several other local Straddie artists, featuring many artworks, including handmade jewellery, paintings, pottery, wood turned pieces and much more.
My work involves photographing the stunning scenery of North Stradbroke Island, the beaches, the forests, the lakes and everything in between. I also experiment using a variety of different photographic techniques, using my camera instead of a paintbrush.
My images are available as wall art prints, and can be printed on a variety of print types, including canvas, aluminium, wood, acrylic and fine art papers. I also make home decor products, such as coasters and cushions, and also fashion accessories such as scrunchies, headbands, scarves and bags featuring my images and designs.
My wall art prints, home decor and fashion accessories are available from my online store, Ocean's Echo (oceansecho.com.au)
This website is for me to tell you my story, and show you the island through my eyes, and share with you my journey as an artist. I am always learning, often making mistakes, sometimes having success, and i will show you all of it.
Please check back regularly, I will be adding new content several times a week. I aim to be releasing a newsletter once a month, if you would like to subscribe, you can do so here, or email me and I can add you. You can also follow along on facebook and insta.
If you are visiting the island, be sure to stop by the Point Lookout Markets at the Point Lookout Bowls Club, East Coast Road/Dickson Way, Point Lookout. You'll find me there every Sunday on school holidays and long weekends. It is a lovely place to visit, we have a wide range of locally made items from local island artists, and we also hold workshops which are a great thing to do.
My online store Ocean's Echo is always open, and has an ever expanding range of my prints and products. If you have any particular questions or would like to talk to me before placing your order, please send me an email and i will call you back.
